ECUK is a well-established community centre in the Borough of Islington.
Aims to meet the needs of the Eritrean community

Since its inception in 1987 as charity, the Eritrean Community in UK (ECUK) has been supporting the most excluded and disadvantaged groups of the Eritrean community to improve the conditions of life and encourage successful integration through advancing education, and access to main-stream services in the interest of social welfare.
Most of our clients have unresolved cases at the point they seek advice, and they need safe secure space to receive much needed support, advice and guidance. The organisation provides a holistic approach to clients and is awarded a Quality Mark from Community Legal Services (CLS) and Exemption Certificate from the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) as competent that delivers its services with good standard of practice.

To promote, enable and facilitate inclusive activities, which embrace and address the social, cultural, health, welfare, training and employment needs of the local community in order to enrich their quality of life.
Our vision is to be the first port of call for all Eritrean within the United Kingdom. We aim to be a centre of excellence for high quality service provision and we have an ambition to serve all communities in our locality. As a registered Charity we work hard to develop and maintain community based services and activities that are relevant, popular and useful for our beneficiaries. ECUK is inclusive. It makes its services available to all, creating a rich environment for cultural and social development in the UK and beyond.
